In a harrowing court session, disturbing allegations surfaced regarding the abuse of 10-year-old Sara Sharif, with prosecutors accusing her father, Urfan Sharif, of subjecting the young girl to harsh punishments and physical violence. The court heard that Sara was reportedly forced to do sit-ups throughout the night as punishment for hiding her father’s keys. Her stepmother, Beinash Batool, described Sharif’s behavior as “psycho,” citing severe beatings that left Sara with visible bruises.
Messages presented in court between Batool and her sister, Qandeela Saboohi, revealed alleged years of abuse, with Batool reportedly fearing that Sharif’s violent outbursts could lead to serious injury. The court heard that Batool was even instructed to hide Sara’s bruises with makeup after schoolteachers expressed concern.
Sara was tragically found dead on 10 August 2023, at her family home in Surrey. The prosecution has charged Sharif, along with Batool and Sharif’s brother, Faisal Malik, with conducting a “campaign of abuse” leading to her death. Sharif reportedly left a note confessing to an excessive beating, admitting he had “lost it.” Following her death, the defendants fled to Pakistan, later contacting UK police.
This case has drawn significant public attention as the court continues to examine the evidence in pursuit of justice for Sara Sharif.
